The second edition of the Francophone Africa in Western Australia Forum (FAWAF)
As the Guest of Honour, Ambassador Zailachi delivered a compelling keynote address, highlighting Morocco's pivotal role in fostering economic collaboration between Francophone Africa and Australia.
She emphasized Morocco's strategic position as a gateway to Africa, serving as a bridge for international investors looking to enter the continent's diverse and rapidly growing markets.
Her Excellency underscored Morocco's leading role in Africa's economic development, not only through its own robust industrial and technological advancements but also through its active investments and partnerships across the continent. Morocco has become a key player in supporting African nations in areas such as infrastructure development, capacity building, and sustainable growth. This role is further solidified by Morocco's membership in the African Union and its numerous initiatives aimed at fostering regional cooperation and integration. In her speech, the Ambassador provided an in-depth overview of Morocco's leadership in key sectors such as mining, renewable energy, agritech, agribusiness, and the automotive industry.
She highlighted how Morocco has positioned itself as a global leader in renewable energy, with large-scale projects that benefit both Morocco and its African neighbors. Additionally, Morocco's expertise in agritech and agribusiness is helping to drive agricultural innovation and food security across the continent, while its growing automotive sector reflects its advanced industrial capabilities.
Her Excellency also touched on Morocco's expanding role in the mining sector, where the country continues to leverage its natural resources and build strategic partnerships to promote sustainable development and responsible mining practices.
