The Launch of the Australian Ghanaian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AGCCI)
H.E Mrs Wassane ZAILACHI, representing the Dean of the Africa Group Missions in Canberra, delivered an insightful speech that underscored the importance of this initiative for Africa. In her remarks, she emphasized that the establishment of the AGCCI is a testament to the growing recognition of Africa as a continent with immense potential for trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
The Ambassador noted that Africa, with its rapidly growing economies, youthful population, and vast natural resources, offers a wealth of opportunities for global partnerships, and this Chamber represents a significant step towards capitalizing on those opportunities.
Her Excellency reaffirmed the commitment of African nations to partner with Australia in areas of shared interest, particularly in sustainable development, innovation, and capacity building.
I would like to thank my dear brother His Excellency Mr Samuel Yao KUMAH, High Commissioner for Ghana and Bishop Richard Asamoah, President of the AGCCI for their kind invitation.
The launch of the AGCCI marks indeed a new chapter in Australia’s engagement with Africa, symbolizing a bridge of cooperation and friendship that will undoubtedly strengthen the ties between the two regions for years to come.
