Africa Down Under Conference (ADU)

Africa Down Under Conference (ADU)

Morocco is taking part in the Africa Down Under Conference (ADU), currently being held in Perth, Australia, from September 4 to 6, 2024. The Moroccan delegation is further strengthened by representatives from the Office Chérifien des Phosphates (OCP), the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM), the Ministry of Energy Transition, and the Moroccan Federation of Mineral Industry.

The ADU Conference is a prominent platform for fostering Australian-African business and government relations, particularly within the mining and energy sectors. Initially established to promote Australia's engagement in Africa's resource industries, the event has evolved into the largest gathering outside of Africa focused on the continent’s mining sector, attracting numerous high-profile participants each year.

Notably, this month's issue of Paydirt magazine, which is widely circulated among attendees, features an in-depth focus on Morocco, highlighting the country’s growing importance in the mining sector.

Morocco is eager to engage actively in this conference, aiming to build productive relationships and conduct meaningful discussions with Australian mining companies interested in investing in Morocco.
